Thanksgiving break will be upon us within the next two weeks. This long-standing tradition generally means food, family, football and of course, time off from school—though maybe not time off from homework. However, Black Friday has gradually been creeping into the holiday scene as many people view the day after Thanksgiving as the beginning of the holiday season.

Thus we asked: “Do you like Thanksgiving or Black Friday activities better?” A category was provided for those who could not choose between the two. The poll also asked, “Which activity is your favorite?” for whichever holiday chosen. One hundred twenty nine students answered the poll, resulting in an overwhelming support of Thanksgiving activities.
