Think finals week is going to be stressful? Never fear, British bassist Charles Berthoud will be here to kick off the dreadful exam-filled week. According to his website, Berthoud puts an
interesting twist on the way the bass guitar is played. As he is a classically trained pianist, he plays the bass in the same way he plays the piano.

Since he was young, he’s dreamed of being a musician in the United States. He was accepted to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. It was there where he was introduced to the
unique way of playing that now makes up most of his own style.

Berthoud now performs and records all over the country. At 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 18, CSS will welcome Berthoud for the very first time. Students will be able to enjoy a free, relaxing event filled with music and a quick snack. Grab a friend or two, head down to the Student Union, and utilize this wonderful study break.
