Restaurant Review of Crooked Pint

With an upbeat, lively atmosphere, Crooked Pint is getting great reviews. Located on the in the Kenwood Village, on the corner of Arrowhead and Kenwood, Crooked Pint is reeling in many Duluthians.

Walking into the restaurant, customers feel the hustle and bustle atmosphere. Dozens of families and friends fill the restaurant, all enjoying each other’s company while eating a good meal. The walls are lined with a cozy brick wall along with mustard yellow paint. Various lighting pieces that hang from the ceiling give the restaurant a dim, unique lighting over each of the tables.

Booths, tables and high tables surround the square designed bar that is centered within the restaurant, offering something for all the customers. In the summertime, Crooked Pint offers outdoor seating where guests can sit out on the patio and enjoy their meal. Whether it’s a drink, a good meal, or a space to watch nightly sports, Crooked Pint is the place to go.

The new restaurant offers a complete menu for lunch and dinner. Some of the best known menu items consist of Crooked Pint’s wide array of juicy lucys, tasty burgers and shareable appetizers.

The PB & Bacon Lucy is one of the most popular juicy lucy’s on the menu. Stuffed with peanut butter and cheese, this burger is topped with bacon strips and romaine lettuce. Add a fried egg for an extra breakfast feel to the burger. Served with fries, the food was filling and delicious.

“Not only was the food good, but the service was great. I loved that the menu tailored to food allergies,” said Lydia Himes, a freshman at CSS.

Another popular menu item is the Pub Pot Pies which are skillet type meals. One meal is the Mac ‘N’ Cheese Skillet. Layered with beer cheese sauce, garlic, ground beef, pepper jack and cheddar cheese, this filling skillet is delicious for a dinner option.

“This skillet was so filling and the flavor was so good! I would definitely order this again,” said James Jylha, a student at UMD.

Aside from the food, there is a plethora of HDTV screens. There are plenty of sports games on during the nightly hours. Perfect for a good meal along with a beverage from the restaurants lineup of 32 draft beers made up of local and regional crafts.

Crooked Pint seems to be a hit with both adults and college students. “I love the atmosphere here, it’s fun, busy and a great place to come with friends,” said Danielle Luke, a CSS alumni. Take a stroll down Kenwood with some friends from campus and enjoy a juicy lucy sometime this week, you won’t be disappointed.
