In addition to all the other homecoming festivities, this year’s Prism concert is sure to be a hit. On Oct. 7, students will be showcasing their musical talents in a variety of genres. Many of the pieces chosen are expected to be familiar to those who attend.

The concert will be featuring all student music ensembles who have been rehearsing since the first week of school. A great deal of hard work and careful planning goes into making the concert organized and smooth. According to Professor Jeremy Craycraft, the goal of the presentation is to take the audience on a “musical journey that is fast paced, interesting, and entertaining!” The performances will be one after another, hardly leaving breaks between each ensemble’s piece.

Audience members will be able to experience ten different performance groups all with varying musical styles within an hour. It is also a wonderful showcase of the opportunities students at Saint Scholastica have to get involved in the world of music. Students and community members both are highly encouraged to attend the Prism concert, free of charge, on Saturday, October 7, at 1:00 p.m. in the Mitchell Auditorium. The drumline will be performing about fifteen minutes before the concert begins in front of the auditorium to warmly welcome those in attendance.
