The College of Saint Scholastica is hosting its 37th annual Handel’s “Messiah” Sing-Along event. Prepare to be left breathless as this performance should not be missed.

Once again, Shelley Gruskin will be directing this event, as he has been since the tradition started in 1981. This year, the event will also be accompanied by the Saint Scholastica Center for Early Music Orchestra.

Handel’s “Messiah” Sing-Along is part of the Saint Scholastica Cambiata Concert series. Cambiata is Italian for “changed,” as the musical performances in this series take pride in the changing styles and values of music.

Each performance is unique in its own way, and everyone is welcome to attend. Admission to this event is free, and scores are available for purchase at the door if needed.

This show will take place in the Mitchell Auditorium on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m.

The next performances in the Saint Scholastica Cambiata Concert series, are “It’s Complicated,” to be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27 and “Wonder & Awe: Religious Expression in Liszt & Schubert-Nick,” at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, presented by the Twin Ports Choral Project.
